Introducing Abe's Lily

Imagine the sounds of the Fuzzy Mountain String Band and The Chieftains jamming with the Grateful Dead.

Abe’s Lily is Laurence Sugarman on banjos, Mark Warford on bouzouki and cuatro, Laurie Hunt on bass and Sonam Targee on tabla, dumbek and flutes. Together they create a happy Old Time-Celtic-Indian-Jazz Fusion that’s been called “New Traditional Music”. It is a very cool sound from an incredible quartet. Come by, sit back, tap your feet and smile.

“Just listening to the Thunderstorm [Rainy Allegheny]! Working today at home having a hard time getting anything done because Abe’s Lily is so good! Super creative moody, and damn you are one fine banjo player. As you know. I own a banjo, pluck it a little but you … you FRICKING rock on that thing. Inspiring. Tabla fretless … Pluck on.”
